In their study of 3,253 Danish men and women, the more babies were breast-fed through 9 months of age, the higher they scored on intelligence tests in their late teens and 20s. Breast-feeding past 9 months had no additional effect on scores.

Papers Show That Enron Manipulated Calif. Crisis

Enron Corp. manipulated the California electricity market with such maneuvers as transferring energy outside the state to evade price caps and creating phony "congestion" on power lines, according to internal Enron documents released yesterday.

I am shocked ... shocked to find price fixing going on!

Welcome to the sorry state of broadband. What I can't figure out is why these smart, visionary executives, are all scratching their heads about slow penetration, don't just lower the cost of the stuff to $25 a month, forget about dial-up altogether, get everyone hooked on speed, and then start making money on the obvious residuals of an always-on, mass-market broadband infrastructure. Greedy always starts with "gee" and ends with "why." It's the economics, stupid.

Paul is a professional journalist (and a nice guy). He couldn't put a paragraph that simple in his US News article, but he can on his blog. Any questions?
