Different Strokes From The Starry Plough Feb. 2002News has reached our office that 'Wicked Witch of the East', Baroness Thatcher took a turn for the best while cursing last autumn with her husband Denis in sunny Madeira, Spain. The pair had been sunning-itup for their golden wedding anniversary when she fell ill. Newspaper reports have indicated that although her speech became slurred, she was having great difficulty with her coordination.

Playing Tricks On Paddy Devlin Anthony McIntyre 14/02/2002Watching a number of scribblers doodle in the new world of the republican leadership's acceptance of the unionist veto/consent principle it seems as if they are preoccupied with the absurd. History for them seems to be little other than what Voltaire claimed it was - an exercise in playing tricks on the dead.
