Bush And Blair Summon The Irish Contras Anthony McIntyreThey chose this country to host their war summit. Like wolves in sheep[base ']s clothing they knew they could disguise their belligerent essence by wearing the mantle of peace. Our peace process - gargantuan lie that it is - would fit them like a glove. Who subscribing to such a travesty would have the moral integrity to tell them what they really are? The party leader we would expect to be most radical on such matters, Gerry Adams, made it clear on UTV on Sunday that he was emphatically not saying that George Bush was a war monger. The missing piece Ken KeableKen Keable is a member of the Connolly Association, a London-based Irish political organisation founded in 1938 and based on James Connolly's principle of Labour/Republican unity. In a new pamphlet directed at the people of Britain, Ken examines the roots of the conflict in the Six Counties and explains the importance of people in Britain playing a part in helping to solve it. The following is an extract from this informative and engaging pamphlet. In the late 1980s, I acknowledged to myself the uncomfortable fact that I really didn't understand the question of Northern Ireland; that, despite having had opinions on the subject for a long time, I couldn't explain how the problem arose. It became clear to me that my own ignorance was part of a general ignorance among English people on the subject. [AP/RN: The missing piece]
