So...BT failed to win their Hyperlink Patent case.  Apparently, shortly before the case began, there were suggestions that BT should drop the lawsuit.  The response... 

"The case will go ahead," Bland said at the time. "The idea that we should abandon this suit in order to provide ISPs with a feel-good factor is, frankly, bizarre…Everyone sues all the time in the States, anyway."

I think it's a stupid reason for continuing the suit, but the sad thing is, he's right.  Everybody sues everybody all the time here.  Personally, I think too many people take advantage of the courts and use it as a means to get rich and famous.  And it's people who use the excuse "everybody else is doing it" who continue to propagate stupid cases.

Stopped by Bibo Coffee this morning.  3rd time this week.  I moved to Seattle almost 3 years ago and never got into the whole routine coffee thing.  I think it's about to become part of my morning routine 2 or 3 days a week now.  Partly because of the novelty of being the first retail shop in the nearby area to open.  Partly because it's on my way to work without even having to pull into a parking lot. 

After 3 years maybe I'm finally making myself at home as a seattle-ite.  I guess the next thing I need to do is buy an SUV and start parking in "compact" parking spots.
