Does it require a leap of faith to believe that yesterday exists? Do you arrive at it by rational argument? No, you do neither. The fact that yesterday exists belongs to a category of Basic Theorems that you neither believe by some leap of faith nor are able to deduce from the facts.
You could live your life believing that you, and the universe you observe, were just at that instant created, complete with memories and the appearance of age. But your ability to make predictions about future behavior would be so hampered that you would be a fool to say in your heart, "There is no yesterday".
So it is with the belief in the existence of God. It does not require a leap of faith, nor does anyone arrive at it by rational argument. All arguments are post facto and all those hearing the argument have their minds already made up.
