Anyway, with that quote from the author, here is Stephen Babbitt's (1990-) forced-topic essay: My Favorite Movies I have several favorite movies. Although I prefer reading to movies, they can be quite interesting and not quite so strenuously thought-provoking. My favorite movies are Hook, Spirit, and Lilo & Stitch. My first favorite movie is Hook. I like Hook mainly because I am an avid fan of J. M. Barrie's novels, particularly Peter Pan. Hook creates a modern sequel to Peter Pan, placing the charaters in many interesting situations. Another movie I like is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. Spirit gives a realistic if a bit corny rendition of the story of the Old West. Giving horses their true spirit, enlivened with stunning animation, took my breath away. My third favorite movie is Lilo & Stitch. I thought it had a lot of good, funny humor, and it was very interesting. Another thing I liked about it was the aliens, who came in all different shapes and sizes. While movies are not always entirely wholesome, they can be very informative and interesting.
