Email data loss The failure yesterday was worse than I thought. Somehow, my FTP disk in Interarchy to my deeje.com site had what I thought was a copy of the contents of my Documents folder, which I deleted. It turned out not to be copies, but in fact, the actual contents of my Documents folder, including my Microsoft Entourage data. Lo and behold, no more email. I did make a backup of my PowerBook before our Maui trip, so I was able to recover from there, but of course I've lost a weeks worth of email. Funny how, as time goes on, my digital archive has empty spots, where data losses like this occur. A week here, a week there... Someday a family archivist will look back on my memory and see when I had system failures. 10:01:09 AM    trackback []
