| R Perl's Weblog Brent Sleeper's Web Journal: 2002/03/02: "Hello, world. I'm posting this from Bill Bumgarner's RadioService application. Although some duct tape certainly is involved, the performance is actually a lot snappier than doing the same thing through Internet Explorer. Downsides are no visualization of controls, no categorization of posts, no post but not publish, etc. There's a lot of promise here, though, and I'm eager to keep working with Bill's software as it evolves. Bottom-line, trying to write productively in a web browser is like using a knife to turn a loose screw. I'll do either in a pinch, but would really prefer the right tool." 8:48:44 PM
Flash: More than just eye candy - Tech News - CNET.com: "For most Web surfers, Flash is the blinking, animated frosting on Web sites. Now Macromedia wants to make it the whole cake. The software maker is pitching Flash MX, the new version of the software to be announced Monday, as a one-stop resource for designing entire Web pages and associated applications. The update signifies a greatly expanded role from Flash's initial function as animation software. " 7:26:09 PM
Loebrich.org: Photos on Loebrich.org: "I use the "My Pictures" Radio Plug-In paste the photos into the post. I modified the template a bit to minimize the editing to the IMG tag, but I still substitute descriptive ALT text and change the WIDTH of non-square pictures by hand." 6:54:00 PM
From 88 Searchlights, an Ethereal Tribute: "Not one life will be reclaimed, not one page in the calendar restored. But next Monday, if all goes according to plan, two luminous columns will cleave the night sky over Lower Manhattan, conjuring those pillars that New York took utterly for granted before Sept. 11 and has desperately missed ever since." 7:17:40 AM
