More Radio Userland nuggets from the mailing list (I am currently 130 messages behind, holy flood Batman):

1. What to do when the RU can't serve /system/pages/help, etc. - use this quick script: radio.utilities.systemFolderTextFiles.install ()

2. IE 5.1 rendering on Mac OS X is too slow: solution use Mozilla or Mark Paschal's cool software

3. To change aggregator settings:

4. See what's being upstreamed i.e the full rendering by going to http://127.0.0.1:5335/system/pages/prefs?page=6.5

5. How not to have a site in the RU cloud - either via an empty index.txt or by going to http://127.0.0.1:5335/system/pages/prefs?page=2.8 and opting out

6. index.html and index.txt and index.opml are seen by RU as the same file. HTML files are NOT rendered!

7. Andy Fragen: To move RU to a user directory rather than the global Applications directory: stop RU, move it, re-run RU and run workspace.userlandSamples.fixFilePathsAndAddresses - Even if this works, this is something I wouldn't recommend!

8. File URLs don't work wih Mozilla and other browsers so you can't see images. - solution is to NOT use file URLS by changing a prefs setting

9. Andy Fragen: Pref for setting index page to .txt or .html is 6.1: i.e. http://127.0.0.1:5335/system/pages/prefs?page=6.1

Brent's RU tips: His suggestion to minimize the number of channels you subscribe is right on! I don't know how Garret subscribes and reads all that stuff! I just go to dangerousmeta.com and check out all his cool links!
