Back from the NFSJ
Mostly as sent to the YosemiteHikes group earlier this evening:

Four of us just did this trip over Labor Day Weekend, pretty close to the "I'm feeling Lucky" plan.
Just imagine: Labor Day weekend, never more than 25 or 27 "crow" miles
from Yosemite Valley ...
Over the five days (9/3 to 9/7), we saw two small horse-packing
parties (both on Friday), and TWO other people, and maybe a total of three to five mosquitoes.

they're someplace accessible.
