Port Hueneme, Camarillo, Galanga Santa Barbara
Last Friday, I woke up with a nasty enough sore throat and runny nose that I couldn't go in to work. I did write up a message about an oddity in the architecture that caused me to change the object format. Later that evening, we weighed the puppies, and the big one was now the smallest one. And he was coughing and wheezing. We finally took him down to the emergency vet office in Capitola, and it turned out (a few hundred dollars later) that he has an underdeveloped trachea. So I got to bed around 2:30am. Then, Saturday, Deb and I drove down to Camarillo (thanks, Mary D!) to stay a couple of nights, so that we could go over to Port Hueneme to help Mom pack up her apartment. Got in to Camarillo about one am. Another late night for this sick boy. Sunday and Monday, we worked on packing up, and on some other SoCal errands. Got some reasonable sleep that night.
And, Monday, on the way home, we decided to stop by and visit JQB in Santa Barbara. Had a very decent Thai dinner at Galanga on State Street; it was nice catching up. However, it meant that we ended up with yet another late night, and my cold still not quite gone. Fooey. Hope I'm well by next week!!
