>>>Today my Yahoo! Messenger and QuickTime were not working and it was driving me insane. I did the usual, uninstall, cold reboot, reinstall, but no luck. I looked on the internet and could not find an answer, but I did find a solution.
QuickTime Error 10061 — Connection failed error
Yahoo! Messenger Error 25 — No Internet connection or incorrect proxy settings
Turns out that the problem was with Zone Alarm, I had it turned off and disabled, but as soon as I turned it back on both applications started working again.
Lucky me.

>>>I was in the car this morning and heard Led Zeppelin's 'Ramble On'. Since I have been reading the Lord of the Rings, I noticed a reference in the song to Mordor and Gollum. It's interesting how different areas of your life can intersect in such subtle ways.
Here is the song snippet:
Mine's a tale that can't be told. My freedom I hold dear. How years ago in days of old When magic filled the air. Twas in the Darkest depths of Mordor I met a girl so fair, But Gollum and the Evil One Crept up and slipped away with her.
