>>>Before going to see Stalking Tom this weekend I stopped in at Za's to get a slice of pizza. There was a lot of really cool art on the walls done by Lee Fenyves, so I took a card so I could visit the website when I got back home. Lot's of nice stuff to see and a very nice site as well.

>>>Yuk, got to work this morning and was greeted by a 250 message listserv meltdown. When things go bad they go really bad. Lot's of angry people; mad at the listserv owner, and mad at each other. The insults are really flying and the mob mentality has really taken over.
As far as I can tell divasf.com has a listserv (ezmlm?) run by wtiwebhosting.com and althought they have turned the listserv off there are still a lot of messages that need to be flushed out of the queue. Meanwhile everyone is availing themselves of the reply-all feature to make sure that their disapproval is heard.
It's actually quite interesting how quickly the people on the list lost sight of the fact that divasf.com and wtiwebhosting.com are the cause of this problem.
There really does need to be a way to adress problems like this in a more efficient manner. What an oversight that there is no tool available in any email program that I know of that would assist a user in taking more productive action to resolve a situation like this.
I used Dave's Famous WhoIs Tool to find the names and phone numbers of the people responsible and even helped get the list turned off. Much easier than entering the fray of a heated spamfest.
Why is it that Outlook, Outlook Express, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, and the rest of the providers haven't done anything to provide education on the issue? Is it too hard for the user to understand?, too complicated?
Well, things are starting to quiet down and maybe the rest of the messages will be flushed by the end of the day. I just love Mondays.
