No clowning around with Diddy

"When you're a rap superstar, admitting you're afraid of anything is far from a laughing matter. But P Diddy, who is renowned for his bad-boy image and ghetto style, has a phobia which has left his rivals in stitches.

"Aaaaaaargh"
The flamboyant singer and millionaire producer, formerly known as Puff Daddy, is terrified of clowns - that is the red-nosed, over-sized shoe, circus variety.

The 32-year-old's phobia is so acute he is even said to have demanded a 'no-clown' clause in his performance contract, something which failed to raise a smile at the Clowns of America International Convention 2002.

In fact, chairman Paul Kleinberger - aka Fuddi-Duddy the clown - accused P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, of discrimination."

I wish we had 'no clown' clauses in Coraider's contracts

New £1.5bn police radio under fire

"A new £1.5bn radio system for the police will not be ready in time for the Commonwealth Games as planned, it has emerged."

I have always thought that Airwave would be a mistake. Its inevitable that it will be overtaken by devlopments in technology. Its based on TETRA. Five years from now kids will have PDA- Mobile phone hybrids that are more powerful than the equivalent devices that the police have.

Time out for sad George

"GEORGE MICHAEL is to stop work on his eagerly awaited album because he is too depressed. The star is down after his single Freeek! only reached No7 in the charts and the death of his puppy."

We all have our crosses to bear I suppose.

Treasury leaks Word of Budget revisions. Apparently earlier revisions were available in the Word document that they published on the Web. Another small but telling illustration that the Government has not the slightest notion what it is doing with IT. Symptomatic of a deeper malaise.
