The Precipice
Just finished reading The Precipice by Ben Bova. With the help of nanotechnology a fusion rocket is constructed to demonstrate that mining the asteroids is an economically feasible way to move industry off the earth into space, thus alleviating the global warming that sunk many of our cities.
Wow, that was a really long and ugly sentence.
The book is packed full of ideas acted out by characters that aren't quite as interesting. Still, I read it in one sitting - and stayed up past 2 AM to finish it...
