CaptainSuperBoyIf you've ever received a ticket for a moving violation, you have probably wondered whether that one ticket improved traffic safety at all. Some tickets certainly increase safety, by removing blatantly irresponsible drivers from the road and punishing unsafe behavior. Many motorists, however, have wondered whether the majority of traffic tickets are in the best interests of society. There seem to be two interests at work here, and they are not on the same team. Are our traffic laws designed to improve safety, or to guarantee a stream of revenue to various groups?
