I picked up a few books at the library, along with a six-pack of Saranac Black and Tan. Kitty is going beserk right now...
George W. Bush is Captain James T. Kirk
You see, most people realize the importance Spock and Bones play in the show. When faced with a crisis, Kirk gets Spock's logical take on the situation and he listens to McCoy's emotion-filled tirade about what's right and wrong. He takes both sides into account and then forges a plan of his own to deal with the situation. It's the classic Kirk-Spock-Bones triangle that everyone's studied for years, and the same applies to Bush-Rumsfeld-Powell.
