Ultrawideband (UWB) modulation is beginning to take a stronger foothold in the wireless networking industry. While it has been used for a while by the military, UWB is now going through the necessary authorizations and developments for public and commercial use. New York's Hot Zones. New York opens up hot zones in City Hall Park, Bowling Green Park, and Rector Park later this week: More areas to follow. One of NYC Wireless's founders, Anthony Townsend, is building out this service at a sweet price as part of the commercial side of his life. This is a grand experiment in a dense area.
