Fujitsu, Sumitomo in compound chip joint venture. Keep Your Eyes on MetroFi. MetroFi doesn't appear to have officially introduced itself to the world: Its Web site is pretty stripped down and only says that the company plans to build a nationwide residential broadband network using Wi-Fi. Most of its leaders come from Covad, though its CTO was the CTO for Metricom.
