Esmé is on a play date with a classmate this morning. Jasmine is building towers with Legos. Using the quiet time to finally put up some more of their collective artwork. We've always liked putting up Esmé's artwork, and have now begun adding Jasmine's work to our walls.
Stumbled across a great way to lend some permanence to this last fall: picture frames from Pottery Barn, specifically designed to house kid's art. There's a plexiglass holder on the back, so you just slide the art in. To change it, just slide it back out. Nice.
So by the time Esmé gets back, we'll have more framed art on the walls. Cool, cool.
Kroger Sees a Shadow Lurking Over Aisle 3. For years, the Kroger Company enjoyed the top spot in the grocery business. But Kroger's days of comfort appear gone for now. By Leah Beth Ward. [New York Times: Business]
Kroger is one of the eleven companies hailed by Collins as making the transition from good-to-great. How many different companies can count Wal-Mart as their competition? Yikes. Is it possible to be too many things to too many people?
