Don't remember where I first saw this, but I'm thinking it'd be nice to have one. A simple little USB storage device. Even though I don't have a laptop to lug around anymore, I still might want to get some work done at home. Instead of always trying to figure out which files to e-mail to myself, I could just throw 'em onto this little puppy. Works on PCs or Macs, so I could work on documentation at any coffee shop, library, or whatever. Comes in three sizes: 32, 64, and 128 MB. Very nice.

CNN picks up on the fact that the next installment of Star Wars is gonna be umm, shall we say, dark?

"It's dark for 'Star Wars,' " Lucas said of the next film during an interview at his headquarters, Skywalker Ranch. "Let's face it, all the bad guys win in the end, all the good guys are dead except for a couple. So it doesn't have a happy ending. I'm not sure how people are going to take it. It does have some fun in it. It's not completely bleak. But it's not an upper."

Good Day at the Office
Pretty decent line for Shawn Green yesterday: 6 AB, 6 R, 6 H, 7 RBI, including 4 home runs and a double. Watched the recap on SportsCenter this morning. He managed to get to the plate again in the ninth inning, after already going 5 for 5 with 3 HR. To their credit, Milwaukee didn't just plunk him in the back.

Cheers to Mark Pilgrim, sixth months away from one of those milestone birthdays that would be otherwise meaningless except for the even numbers. Perhaps it's better this way. After the rush of 10 (double-digits), 13 (welcome, surly teen), 16 (so sweet), 18 (legal adult), 21 (legal to drink), there's a welcome gap before 30, and then a nice, steady once-a-decade pace after that.
