Here's one I'd like to be able to subscribe to. Got a copy of American Gods sitting on the floor in my office, a signed copy of The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish in Esmé and Jasmine's bookshelf, and, well, certainly every Sandman collection. Every novel, I think. Plus he's local. How cool is that? I'm starting to feel nostalgic for mass-market paperbacks -- it seems like we're entering a world in the US where there's less and less intelligent stuff to read in mass-market form, and that has to be a bad thing. Good books should be cheap and accessible. |

Google Responds It's not really that Perplexing after all (courtesy an e-mail): When you use the Google/Microsoft page you are only searching Microsoft-related sites. You are not searching Google's entire index. Lesson here, kiddies, is that the cleaner interface is no
longer the preferred interface, since the search results are so drastically
limited. I'm not about to sacrifice functionality for interface. Guess I'll
just have to deal with all the changing Google logos like the rest of the
world. |
