2004 Presidential Election

Ed Cone links his latest column assessing John Edwards' campaign and making some suggestions about issues that could resonate with voters. Says Cone, "People have complicated feelings about global capitalism, recognizing it as a great engine of wealth creation that often grinds up individuals, industries and whole regions for fuel. There's not much call these days to dismantle the system, but there is a sense that things are to one-sided." The link is to the main page of the paper he writes for, articles there go behind a paywall after a time.

He is frustrated that, although he mentioned the idea of a weblog to Edwards last fall, so far the campaign has a very weak web presence. That was one of Coyote Gulch's frustrations this spring.
