2004 Presidential Transition

Ohio county officials have certified the November 2nd election results, according to the Denver Post [December 2, 2004, "Counties certify Bush won Ohio"]. From the article, "Official results from the state's 88 counties were sent Wednesday to Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. He's expected to certify the tally Saturday showing that Bush won the state."

Here's a humorous look at President Bush from DubyaMovie.com. Thanks to Matthew Gross for the link.

Update: Taegan Goddard: "John Danforth, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, has resigned, according to Reuters. Danforth has only held the office since July 1, 2004, when he succeeded John Negroponte, who now serves as the U.S. ambassador to Iraq."

Update: Taegan Goddard: "Nebraska Gov. Mike Johanns (R) 'will likely be leaving for Washington to be the next secretary of agriculture,' KETV reports. President Bush 'nominated Johanns to the post Thursday morning. Pending confirmation by the Senate, Johanns will succeed outgoing Secretary Ann Veneman, who announced her resignation two weeks ago.'"
