Colorado Water

Here's an article on Colorado's water supply from the Rocky Mountain News [September 1, 2004, "Water on tap through 2030"]. From the article, "Colorado cities say they can supply nearly 90 percent of the water newcomers will need by 2030, but it all depends on their ability to dry up farms, recycle existing supplies and build new water projects, according to the preliminary findings of a new state water study. Even as the current drought eases, however, serious future shortages could develop if cities aren't successful in their quests for new water, said Rick Brown, project manager for the Statewide Water Supply Initiative, as the study is known." Bluegrass instead of corn. Bummer.
