From today's Rocky Mountain News, "Former Denver Democratic Chairwoman Sharron Klein said Tuesday she is dropping her bid to be the city's first elected clerk and recorder. This month, Klein said she had decided not to run for re- election as chairwoman, citing her candidacy for the new office. Since Klein's announcement, Clerk and Recorder Stephanie O'Malley has picked up endorsements from several City Council members and other major state Democrat leaders."
