From the article, "Supporters of November's budget-reform measures pulled in $1 million in campaign contributions last month, eight times the total raised so far by opponents. The big money, which brings to more than $2 million the total raised by the proponents since April, is in line with predictions that the ballot fight could be one of the costliest in Colorado history."

The Denver Post is reporting that the resignation of two staffers in the Denver Election Commission office may effect the fall election [August 2, 2005, "Two key workers leaving elections bureau"]. From the article, "After enduring weeks of criticism aimed at its ability to manage elections, the Denver election department is facing the loss of two key staff members. The resignations come three months before voters go to the polls to decide a budget reform measure that is expected to be one of Colorado's biggest constitutional referendums in more than a decade."
