Governor Owens and Jon Caldara had a little face-time with the Longmont Daily Times-Call. From the article, "'I'm a strong proponent of TABOR,' Owens said recently, noting that he's been a booster of such tax and revenue limits in speeches he's made 'all over the country.'
"After Colorado voters adopted TABOR in 1992, it successfully checked state government's growth during the economic boom years of the late 1990s and 'helped us avoid spending too much in the good years,' Owens told members of the Daily Times-Call editorial board last month...
"'Quite simply, the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights saved Colorado's fiscal fanny,' Caldara said during his own meeting with the newspaper's editorial board recently."
