The Cherry Creek News: "The Denver City Council voted to put a package of tax increases and bonds on the November ballot Monday night. The taxes, if voter approved, would cost the average homeowner (of an average home worth $250,000) $2380. Mayor John Hickenlooper will champion the package before the voters. The taxes would go to a variety of infrastructure projects, and future maintenance for city facilities, roads and more. City Councilwoman Jeanne Faatz was one of the leading voices against the measure, saying that past poor spending of funds shouldn't be cause to raise taxes further."
