Here's an article about Mark Udall's chances should he run for U.S. Senate, from the Rocky Mountain News. They write, "Democrats are likely to unify behind Rep. Mark Udall if he follows through with a run for U.S. Senate in 2008, Sen. Ken Salazar told reporters Thursday. Udall, D-Eldorado Springs, has been positioning himself for a possible race to succeed the retiring Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Loveland, although he has said a formal announcement would come 'at a time and place of my choosing.'"

Colorado Pols: "Former Rep. Scott McInnis has reportedly set some high fundraising goals for himself in his bid to be elected to the U.S. Senate. McInnis has told supporters that he plans to have $3 million in the bank at the end of March. McInnis already has about $1 million left over from his congressional campaign that he can transfer to a U.S. Senate committee, which means that he plans to raise $2 million in three months. It would certainly be a strong statement if he could pull it off."
