Mom charged with letting kids get sunburned
When I first heard of this and the fact that the woman faces a possible 15 year jail sentence, I was horrified. Sure, it's stupid to let your kids get badly sunburned but have we gotten so paternalistic as to do stupid things like jail people for things like this?

Then I saw that her kids were 2 and 10 months old. I still think 15 years is rediculous but I do think that that is severely negligent. What's wrong with people today?
