I came up with this one while showering this morning. There is never enough time the day, right? I think that I can quantify that statement in an equation. It's quite simple, isn't it?

(24 hours in a day) - ((Normal working day) - (commute time) - (eating) - (spouse time) - (bathing) - (watching tv) - (soccer) - (shopping) - (blogging) - (reading before bed)) = Not enough time in the day!

Did anyone notice that sleeping was not in that equation? Oh, I forgot to add occasional drinking. But, I can multi-task for that one. LOL!

Slashdot: So, Apple releases a dual 1 Ghz G4 PowerMac. Hmm..Yea, that's what I'm talking about. Actually, I just can't see needing that kind of power. Not that I would turn it down if someone bought it for me. But, for $3K, no thanks. However, I wouldn't mind having 2MB of L3 Cache. See, I could benefit from that (I think). Why can't you upgrade that sort of stuff. Maybe you can. I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy. I'll have to check on that. one. No, my two desktops (1 PC and 1 G3) work just fine. The speed is not the issue, the lack of ports and accessories is the issue. We gotta have our toys, don't we? :-)

So, a colleage of mine just got back from Japan. It was her first trip. She got me some snacks. One of those items was "Strawberry Chocolate". I'll quote the paragraph underneath the title. She got it for me, because she knew I would enjoy the Engrish.

This is some of the best Engrish yet.  As some of my friends pointed out today, I don't know whether women should be amused or offended when they found out that this "...elegant phone can check women's Pink Schedule & Calorie that it helps you to be a woman of sense." Oh. Well, if they can build a watch that can find a pub, they should be able to build a phone that can keep up with that monthly visitor.

So, I was at the Dobie mall last night. I walked by the Dobie cinema. It appears that they are going to be showing Metropolis after all.  That's great stuff. Now to find out when they are going to show it. It only said "Coming Soon".
Update: This was actually posted (without links) Saturday via pager. Apparently, I have a weekday business hours only pager. Ugh! So, Metropolis is showing for one week only in Austin starting Febuary 15. Click here for more info.
