I like this feed. Another great one created by Stapler!

OK. Mark, you rock! Stapler is da tool! It took a few tries to understand how it works, but it's not too bad. I created a WorldSoccer source using the ByNumbers scraper. My selector seems to work ok. Here it is:

tr td a img
And check "Include selected tag" That grabs the headline image off of the Yahoo World Soccer page. Next, "Make a Feed for this Source" Stapler will default the name and everything. If Subscribe is an option, click that. Then click Publish. At least, I think I have the steps correct. Anyhow, I've not got a weather and a Garfield (for no particular reason) source as well. The weather doesn't need a selector because it uses the wunderground scraper. Very nice! But, this ByNumbers scraper should meet my needs just fine. Oh yea, the Garfield selector is:

td[align=center] a img[alt="Garfield]

I tried these chewy Warheads while in New York last year. I could not find them anywhere in Austin. But, I did find them online. Of course, it was a candy distributor. So, I had to order a whole box. This stuff is like crack. I took some cans to work and they went fast!

InfoWorld: AltaVista software searches corporate PCs. The software navigates more than 225 different file types by filename and folder to locate users' sought-after information. It also crawls through e-mails, searching by keyword, folder, date or subject header fields such as "cc", "to" and "from"... [Tomalak's Realm].

I swear to you that AltaVista had this product way back in 1998! I played with it then. I don't know what happened to make it take 4 years to become real, but better late than never. I hate searching through 6000 sent emails at work. Yes, 6000. That's how many I have not deleted yet. I don't actually clean up my sent items as much as my inbox. My inbox is hanging around at 3000. The truth is that Outlook and other email products were not designed to scale this high as far as I can tell. It's a slow process searching for something from 9 months ago. I often live in my email. It sounds like a bad thing. But, IMHO actually talking to people would be worse :->

Ahh. It was a nice code day today. I got to officially work from home over my VPN connection. That's nice. I got a lot done, too. It was 2 PM before I even remembered that I should probably eat something.

My Stapler feed, which is grabbing the latest Austin, TX weather seems to be working. Now, to get a template for it.

FlangyNews: can function return more than one value vbscript? - I had this same issue recently. I thought I had solved it properly, but this sounds better, that is if the server is using the correct version of the scripting runtime. I'll have to check on this one. Here is the sample code:

class Position
 public x
 public y
end class

function getpos() set p = new Position p.x = 1 p.y = 1 set getpos = p end function
