Cool. just upgraded my Radio to 8.0.4 to enable Simple Cross-Network Scripting. That's the reason for the "South Carolina" below. I hit betty.userland.com to get that string. And, in case you couldn't tell, that's called a "Web Service". All done without the help of Microsoft.

I love creative ideas. Hey, if you don't like what I have to say, then visit Confessionalism.com to see their fuck you gallery. A UT student. Why am I not surprised? :-)

Ask Slashdot : What Kind of PHB Do You Want?
This topic is generating good discussion. I am very pleased with my boss. My former supervisor (also a good progammer) is also very capable. Sure, the style is different, but the key point is that they listen and trust your technical judgement. If your boss trusts the consultant over you, then watch out! More importantly, having my bosses (yes, that WAS plural) act as a filter for the politics is probably the most important thing. The problem with working at a company that you love for too long is that you begin to actually care too much. Then, when something upsets you, it takes every effort not to say the wrong thing to the wrong person in the wrong manner. A good boss will let you vent your frustrations (or keep you away from those frustrations) so that you can do your real work.

A good friend of mine sent me some robotics links. They were too cool to not pass along.
Solar robot kits.
This may necessiatate a trip to Frye's. I've always wanted to play with solar cells. I did a little tinkering in my youth, but it's been years.
Man eating Robot.
This one is too funny to pass up.
Modular robots or polybots.
