Jerry Halstead writes: "Back in my Mapblast days I put together a mapping application for the PBS show Race for the Superbomb. The idea was to illustrate what type of damage might be sustained (pressure and fallout) based on the type of bomb and distance. I saw it mentioned in another blog and sure enough, it's till ticking...Blaster Mapper. It doesn't work outside the US: someone at Vicinity needs to tweak a simple variable."

Whoa. That's sobering stuff. I hope that if I'm ever anywhere near that kind of weapon when it goes off that I'm hit at ground zero. Make it quick. I have seen Hiroshima footage. Foreign Assignment on NWI had a report a few weeks ago that showed pictures that I have never seen used in American classrooms. I think there is still an effort to admit wrongdoing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But, some people don't realize just how cruel and inhumane a weapons like this can be. No, I don't prefer to have my skin just melt off of my bones or suffer radiation sickness. No one deserves that. And don't get me started on the fire bombing of Dresden.

So, what would happen if Cedar Park were hit by a 25 megaton nuclear blast?
Click here to find out. But, wouldn't the fallout be worse?
