Success! I got the subscription list to show on the right. Now, I think the next project is HTML minimization. I've got too many nested tables. I should be able to reduce size more by playing a little with the rowspan attribute.

This is an interesting topic, especially for history people like myself. During the early web days (1995-6), we actually started OCR'ing in some old works that had fallen out of copyright. I believe the out of copyright year was like 1924 or something at that time? Anyhow, it was extremely empowering in that it gave other researchers access to additional sources of information for their papers. Previously, if one could not find a source in their campus library, they could call a librarian in a remote location and find the book. However, that meant ordering the book for check-out: a time consuming process. With online material that is out of copyright, it's free content. <rant>Truly, content wants to be free. It just takes 70+ year for it to get that way. But, of course, people with millions of dollars are exempt, because that's the type of country we live in, where the rich are exempt from laws.</rant>
