Linux Journal Table of Contents for Issue #95, March 2002: "GFX Film GIMP at Rhythm & Hues by Robin Rowe"

(Most) everyone has heard about Gimp for Linux right?  Did you know that there's also a film editing Gimp for Linux?  Neither did I.  Unfortunately, you'll have to go buy the magazine to read the article.  It's worth it.

O p e n W i k i - Open Wiki: "Open Wiki runs in IIS using ASP. It was first launched in September 2001. It gives much more power over the Wiki interface through XML stylesheets. "

I'm going to try to install this on Lonely Lion tonight.  Get ready for a Wiki fella's.

Yahoo! News - Famed Hacker Mitnick Greets Former Target: "It is about a common hacker technique he was notorious for using -- social engineering -- in which a hacker dupes people into giving out information rather than using technology to get it, which he said is much harder to do. "A lot of businesses overlook social engineering attacks," he said. "Out of this whole conference there's not one session that talks about it." Nunley, who saw Mitnick's skills as a trickster firsthand, said, "It's a performance art." "

Improv!

Emil_Email_Client: "I was unhappy with the free webmail providers, because of their speed, the advertisments displayed and their security. So I decided to write my own web based email client. "

Pretty cool...maybe goodbye hotmail?

I've known about Zope for a while now, but am just getting around to really looking at it.  Over the weekend, I started playing with Zope products, specifically CMF and Zwiki.  Both of which I'm now in the process of implementing at work.  CMF's portal function has some obvious benefits, replacing our team intranet site.  The Zwiki stuff will be a harder sell, given the "goofy" nature of the word "wiki", it might just be scoffed at.  We'll see.

So, in short, I finally had a Zope "breakthrough", I now believe that Zope is a pretty darn useful product.
