A List Apart: What the Hell is XML?: "Web projects are big projects with short time lines. Itâ019s not surprising, then, that one of the biggest factors influencing the profitability and success of web projects is the ability to effectively manage content."

I'm interested in exploring XML for both work, and sort-of-work (the IO website) this is a good article on the topic, with up to date information, applicable to 2002, vs a lot of the 1998 "XML is the new thing" info out there.

perl 5.7.3 Available [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service]

Ladies and Gentlemen, for the first time EVER, I've successfully written USEFUL information to a MySQL database, from Perl.  I'm totally beside myself, this is a huge jump in my Perl-abilities.  I rule, I rule, I rule.  I wish there was someone here who wanted to shake my hand.  Finally months of trudging through docs has paid off.  I rule.
