I've really grown to like TextExtras since Mike Ferris demoed it at the Stepwise Birds-of-a-Feather meeting at WWDC this year. I like the extra key shortcuts he unveiled (set mark! swap point with mark! I'm in emacs heaven!) and the pipes are fantastic.
However, there was no incremental search! Well, I had to do something (especially since it was easy!) I've implemented emacs-style incremental search in the Cocoa text system through TextExtras. Whoa, is it handy - ^s and ^r for forward and backward search. I've used it tons in ProjectBuilder already.
I emailed Mike about it, and hopefully he decides to include my hack. I'd rather not distribute a patch...

I understand that c|net news.com is often full of over-sensational journalism, but still I'm upset about the recording industry - for the first time in my life, I wrote to my congresswoman. You can see what I wrote here.
