José can you see?

The American flag at halfmast is a special symbol of mourning and pride. It also makes it a much better target for photography because the end of a good sized one, like the Post Office flag pictured above, hangs down to eye level. Flags of all other powers must fly below the American flag, so they too must fly halfway down:

By the way, I heard the longest commercial yet, on NPR, for Wal-Mart, and how good they were for a community. NPR just got a HUGE grant, so why is their advertising on the increase?

Now that President Reagan is interred, can we please stop his beatification? He was the guy from the 20 Mule Team show that made ya feel like your dad was running the country, so everything was all-right. However, some of his, ... uh, miscalculations have cost this country dearly. Anyway, here's my own eulogy:
So long Ron. You kept me interested in your politics and I liked some of your movies and TV shows.
Our current president has almost the same philosophy, but it is delivered without the practiced humanity and confidence that President Reagan carried so well. Proof that it's style over substance all the way, ... baby!
