Assignment #2: "As far as subject matter is concerned, think of a dream that was powerful to you and try to convey it to the viewer. Think about what the dream represents to you and try to use several images to recreate it. Use personal symbols and/or social icons that help to express your message. Don't worry about producing an exact replica of your dream. What's key here is your ability to suggest ideas and your ability to be free with this medium, experiment with new ideas and don't be afraid to damage your negative. It will be OK I promise"-- Professor Laffoon
So here is what I turned in, all 11 x 14 inch silver prints. The first is toned blue with a formula I found on the internet:
The last one was toned with yellow toner then redeveloped. The second one was 'burned' with potassium permanganate crystals, and the third and fourth photos are serendipidous double exposures made by running an exposed roll through the camera a second time.8 grams ferrous ammonium citrate
8 grams potassium ferricyanide
37 grams succinic acid
diluted to 1 liter with distilled water
