| 700,000,000,000.00 Forty five years ago, Everett Dirksen might have said, "A billion here, a billion there and pretty soon you are talking real money" about our government's spending habits. Back then a billion dollars was more than the chump-change it's become in the third millenium. I think that we should call that number at the top what it is: three quarters of a trillion dollars. |
