Stupidus Rex blogs great interviews with movie craft professionals..

You can just see Stupidus picking brains all the time. Nonlinear and audio editing, lighting and shooting in HD. Lots of talk about tool choices, common problems, case studies, doing things both good and cheap. Not organized yet but the velocity of learning going on is amazing. Blogging as you learn reinforces what you know, builds a record for later reference, and shares the wealth. It's fun seeing this craving for media literacy.

K-log Pilot Follow-up.

Roland Tanglao asks about my piloting a K-Log post: Very cool, Rick! Will these klogs use Radio and will they be public?

Yes and no. We'll use Radio to start out. The initial efforts will be internally focused - mostly because I want to conquer issues one at a time. I see the biggest hurdle being the changing of peoples' habits - and if the sites were public, we'd have to simultaneously address separate issues of openness, whether we were somehow helping competitors, etc. Better to address those once we get people comfortable with the concept.

That said, I like the idea that we can eventually make public sites too. I'll keep people in the loop as we evolve the project.
