Mark and Matt: And then there were two We might as well get this thing fired up. A couple of years ago I was talking to a good friend who's Internet savvy, about finding some software that would give a group of us a space on the Internet to discuss stuff that interested us. I never really found anything that fit the bill, so the idea dropped quietly onto the back burner. Two years turns out to have been a long time in Real Life as well as in Internet time. That friend, Mark, and I, have both moved on from Chile where we were working together: he's now in London, studying, and I've moved back to Ecuador for a new project. And not least, for the purposes of this story, Dave Winner and a bunch of others have been busy creating the weblogging tools (here's what we're using, and this is virally popular alternative), which make possible exactly the kind of project we had in mind.
