Weird but true story...
Checking the luggage at Miami International we had to pass our bags through the customary X-Rays. Of course, one of our bags was picked for a hand check. The person doing the checking was a huge guy with a few friends face. He looked angry even before he had to deal with our plastic wraped, locked suitcase. It was an uncomfortable bag to check, but he seemed to know where he had to look. He took out a Spiderman Monopoly we bought for our kids, not a glimpse of a smile... Then he took a Powerbook G4 "Titanium" battery I bought for my friend Gabo, and he asked (with the same tone one would use if bombs or drugs had been found) What is this? I said, in a less than manly voice, "A laptop battery", he said (slightly more friendly) Sony, Toshiba? I answered "Apple, actually". Big smile on his face he said: Oh I really want one of the new iBooks, they are so cool! I said I had a brand new Powerbook G4 and that I was very happy with it. He put everything back and we parted as friends... By the way, they re-wrapped my bag at no cost, that would never happen in Venezuela...
