The death of Formula One
[From F1-Live]
Team order affects fans worldwide
This writer felt the blow as Michael Schumacher crossed the line, heard the death tolls sounding for what used to be the pinnacle of motorsport. Something died in Austria on the 12th of May 2002, thankfully it wasn't a driver or a spectator or a marshall. Instead it was the death of Formula One, the death of a passion that used to burn so brightly in the heart of many, mine included. It's the driving force behind the fans that come to watch their heroes compete, the motive behind the amounts of cash parted with throughout the years, the ultimate thing that breathes life into the sport week after week, a force that will need a harsh reprisal for this action to make ammends.
To the powers that be, if you're listening and in case you've forgotten, it's the little people who come to watch, buy the merchandise and tune in their televisions sets faithfully every two weeks that keep this sport alive just as much as the sponsors that part with cash to keep the teams running to their enormous budgets. Without them, the sport is dead and you lost millions of them in the blink of an eye at the A1-Ring yesterday. Am I going to far to state F1 died on Sunday? Maybe, maybe not. May you rest in peace Formula One, I for one will miss you immensely.

Does Ferrari deserve a penalty? I think so, and should be structured in such a way that it doesn't punish Rubens Barrichello, Strip Schumacher finish and don't count Barrichello's points in this race for the constructor championship. My wife thinks Barrichello points should be striped too, since he is also a guilty party. The problem with this is that it hasn't been done in F1 ever... Perhaps it should be a change for the future?

Even Schumacher is saying he doesn't agree with this decision and he is not enjoying the victory... He gave the trophy to Barrichello, unfortunately that's not enough to calm the angry fans...

Villeneuve didn't finish! I feel sorry for him as I do for Barrichello. Fisichella scored the first points for Jordan.
The public in the racetrack is not celebrating this Ferrari victory.

Schumacher passes Barrichello in the last line, obviously it was orders from the pits. Isn't this shameful for Schumacher? He has always said that he is the first pilot, but this is ridiculous...
Barrichello has accepted three mor years of this, that is also ridiculous.
I will not celebrate this victory...

Barrichello and Schumacher go to pits and come out without problem, they are first and second nine laps to the finish.

Sato has a fracture on his femur it seems, he is being taken to the hospital.
Currently Barrichello is first and Schumacher is second. Montoya is third, but the Ferraris have to get in pits probably...

So many things have happened in the race that I've forgotten to blog it!
There was a huge accident involving Heidfeld (Sauber) and Sato (Jordan). Heidfeld seem to be okey, but Sato's condition is unknown.
On top Barrichello, then Ralf Schumacher, then Michael Schumacher and fourth Montoya, but the Ferraris already have a pit stop.
Villeneuve is fifth in an amazing race, he has done so many passes, he is an excellent driver in a terrible car.
