As I predicted this morning FIA fined Ferrari 1 million dollars for the podium scene in Austria. Noticed three things: no fine was given for the result of the race, FIA say they didn't like it but can do nothing about it; no fine was given to the drivers since they were just "obeying orders" (didn't that defense fail at Nuremberg?); the fine is half a million dollars and another half if they misbehave again, I expect both of Ferrari's drivers to follow protocol pretty closely from now on...

The FIA meets today to see how it will punish Ferrari for the Austrian fiasco. Despite what you may read elsewhere, team orders are not illegal in F1, so I bet they will just received a fine for the podium violation of protocol and a pretty please not to do the change of places again, so that F1 doesn't lose too many spectators.
