Some time back there was some noise about Venezuela moving towards Open Source, because of a government order to use Open Source Software. Today I'm learning from some friends how on target was my scepticism about this issue. If you are a government employee, you need to file your taxes online and despite how easy it is to do multi platform web development this efficient government has manage to force the use of Windows to file taxes. Way to go! How do they plan to increase Open Source this way? Even their stupidity is closed source! (and very much not free!).
