I still haven't been able to connect to the site. All of my browsers say the site can't be found. I did a lookup and got a page saying the name was available for purchase.

English Al-Jazeera Website Hacked. Arab satellite TV network Al-Jazeera launched an English-language website Monday. On Tuesday, its Web host says it was hit with a denial-of-service attack, but an Al-Jazeera representative blames the problem on unexpectedly high traffic. [Wired News]

Now that he's got his war, Bush doesn't have to continue the lie that it will be quick and easy. We're not likely to pull out any time soon.

In Italy, they say there are three sports now: football, Ferrari and Rossi. The first two need no introduction, the third is Valentino Rossi, who is merely a motorbike rider, but in the way that Frankie Dettori is just a jockey.

One or two things about Rossi. First, he is only the second rider in history, after Giacomo Agostini, to achieve the hat-trick of world titles at 125cc, 250cc and 500cc. Second, he defended his 500cc title [~] or MotoGP, as it is now known [~] by a Michael Schumacher-like margin last year. He is 24 years and one month old.
