Lab-built bladders on the way. A US surgeon tells BBC News that he is ready to perform the world's first transplant of an artificially grown organ. [BBC News: sci/tech]

You may want to hold back on investing in drug companies that produce overactive bladder control drugs.

DMVs Pushing for Standard License. If state motor vehicle agencies get their way, driver's licenses will soon be so smart, they'll be like national ID cards. Maybe even smarter. Declan McCullagh reports from Washington. [Wired News]

If we get national ID cards right here in the USA, this is how they are going to develop.

US 'has support for Iraq attack'. The US vice president says "aggressive action" against Iraq would be backed by its allies, and talks of his "disappointment" with Iran. [BBC News: world]

I spent most of V-Day trying to get one of my BSD/Linux HD's to work with my new MOBO. I got it back from Accubyte sometime last week, but didn't know about it until the other day. It seems the UPS guy thought it best to place the package in a secure place, but not to leave a note telling me where he had placed it, or that it had even been delivered....

Well, I guess I would've been upset if I had to go the the UPS office to pick it up. So, UPS can't win. Or I can't. Whatever.

Now I have the board, and it still doesn't work. So I call tech support, and the tech support guy says I need at least a 250 watt power supply for the MOBO to run. Hmm! So off I go to CompUSA to get a new box w/250 watt power supply.

[Some time later, after many screws have been screwed...]

Now the MOBO works! Yea! But all my HD's have kernels compiled for a dual processor MOBO. Now its V-Day.

Good thing I don't have a significant other right now. More time to fiddle with my new MOBO, well now it's really a new machine, as it has a new box, a new video card [GForce 2], new memory and new MOBO. And its FAST.

Bush faces test in Asia on warning over 'axis' President George W. Bush begins a six-day trip Saturday that will be his first chance to hear directly from nations in Asia that have been alarmed by his reference to Iraq, Iran and North Korea as an "axis of evil." [International Herald Tribune]

But, hey, we're sticking to it.
